David was a member of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department, based in Edinboro. He had been Fire Chief for 6 years.

David and another Fire Department member were traveling to a training session at 7 p.m. when a car coming in the opposite direction crossed the center of the roadway and struck them head-on. David was taken to a local medical center where he was pronounced dead of his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries and released.
Fellow firefighters describe David as devoted to his community, well-liked and well-respected by all. He is also described as helpful.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Flint is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
