Jon was a member of the Worcester Fire Department.
As wind-whipped flames engulfed a three-family home before dawn on December 8th, Worcester firefighters rushed a dozen residents through the heat and smoke to safety. When one tenant said his friend might still be trapped inside, several firefighters rushed back in. While they desperately searched the building, the entire back wall gave way, killing Jon Davies.
Fire Department officials describe Jon as brave and selfless. They also said that he was an energetic and experienced firefighter.

Loved ones describe Jon as a hard-working and honourable man.
Jon is survived by many loving friends and family members including 3 sons and a daughter and his fiancée, who he was intending to marry on New Year's Eve.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jon Davies is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
