Pfc. Adam E. Dobereiner, age 21, of Moline, Illinois, died on November 18, 2011, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.

High school officials describe Adam as a good student and a hard worker with guts and determination.
Friends describe him as outspoken and having a great sense of humor.
Adam is survived by numerous loving friends and family members including his grandfather, Don Smith.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Adam E. Dobereiner is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
