She was with the Rome, Georgia Probation Office, of the Georgia Department of Corrections.
She was accidentally shot and killed during a firearms training exercise at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. A loaded weapon was accidentally discharged during the exercise and Officer Bishop was fatally wounded.

Officer Bishop had served with the Georgia Department of Corrections for just six months.
Tiffany was born in Waycross, Georgia. She attended Union Grove High School. She received her Master's degree and graduated with honors in criminal justice from Georgia College and State University.
Tiffany is survived by numerous loving friends and relatives including her parents, Tom and Maureen Bishop and Renee and Don Johnson; siblings, Seth and Kristin Bishop, Alison Bishop and Jenna Bishop; and the love of her life and long time boyfriend, Jake Chambliss.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Tiffany Danielle Bishop is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
