Rueben Lopez

Pvt. 1st Class Rueben Lopez, age 27, of Williams, California, died on August 11, 2011, in Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated under his truck.

Rueben joined the U.S. Army on Aug. 10, 2010, and was assigned to the infantry. His family said he was scheduled to come home for two weeks next month.
He graduated from Williams High School in 2002.  Family friends describe him as being out-going with a great sense of humour.  Rueben was the only male among his four female siblings and earned the nickname "Boy" by the family.

Light a candle for Rueben. Light
his way to Heaven.
When he returned from his military service, he intended to find employment as a Corrections Officer.

Rueben is survived by many loving family members and friends including his father Reuben (whose name is spelled differently from Rueben's), mother Gloria, sisters Monica, Kelly, Leticia and Renee and grandparents Margaret Del Rio and Alex and Rita Estrada.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Rueben Lopez is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
