Pfc. Brice M. Scott, age 22, of Columbus, Georgia, died on July 31, 2011, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire.
He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Brice graduated from North Eugene High School in Oregon.
Brice is described as a good husband and father.
Family members state that Brice was a crack shot who followed a family tradition of military service. He was on his first tour of duty.
Brice is survived by many loving family members and friends including his wife, Dell and children - Celina age 3 and Mia age 1, his mother Carol Tripp, father Steven Scott and Grandfather Tim Robins.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brice M. Scott is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
