Paul Protzenko

Paul Protzenko, age 47, of Connecticut, was killed on July 9, 2011, in Afghanistan.

Paul was a retired Connecticut state trooper who spent about 20 years with the Troopers before retiring in 2009.  Paul was working for a private firm - Military Professional Resources Inc., a firm that does training and security work for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Army. Paul was responsible for training Afghanistan national police members to work at crime scenes.

Paul Protzenko was a married father of three.

Friends of the family described Paul as a real nice guy and stated that he would help anybody.

Officials said that "Paul simply was a man who dedicated his life to his country, his family, and the people of Connecticut he continually served."

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Paul Protzenko is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
