Frank R. Gross

Spc. Frank R. Gross, age 25, of Oldsmar, Florida, died on July 16, 2011, at Kandahar province, Afghanistan of wounds sustained at Khowst province, Afghanistan when an improvised explosive device caused a military vehicle roll-over.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. 

Frank was born in Virginia Beach, Va., and moved to Florida with his family in 1998. He graduated in 2003 from Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo, Florida. Frank earned a bachelor's degree in digital arts in 2008 and a master's degree in entertainment business in 2009.

Frank enlisted in the Army in May 2010.

Family members said that they are proud of Frank, that he lived life to the fullest and was a hard worker.

Frank is survived by his wife, his mother and father and his sister.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Frank R. Gross is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
