Lloyd Newell

British soldier, Lloyd Newell died on June 16, 2011, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, by small arms fire. 

Cpl Newell was married with a nine-week-old daughter. The British Military said it would not be releasing details of his age or where he was from "because of the nature of his work".

Lloyd Newell was in the Special Air Service (SAS).

The British Military said that Lloyd Newell was a man of integrity and principle and a natural and talented soldier who loved his work and the military lifestyle. And that Lloyd was selfless, humble, cheerful and utterly reliable.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Lloyd Newell is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
