Devin was from upstate New York. She joined the Army in 2008. Devin was deployed in Afghanistan in mid-March and was due home in July for two weeks.

A 2008 graduate of Wayland-Cohocton Central School, Devin was an avid soccer player and track star. School officials stated: “She was always a real pleasant kid to be around. The older girls were taken with her. She just took their hearts. She was very humble, always looking to get better and better.”
Devin is survived by her parents, Ed and Dineen Snyder; two brothers, Derek (Mariah) Snyder, 28, and Damien Snyder, 19; a sister, Natasha Snyder, 23; and a niece, Ariel. Natasha and Damien, currently serve in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army respectively.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Devin Snyder is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
