Laurentiu Constantin Lixandru

Romanian soldier, Corporal Laurentiu Constantin Lixandru, age 30, was killed in Zabul Province of Afghanistan on May 5, 2011, when the vehicle he was travelling in hit an explosive device.

He was assigned to the 26 Batallion Infrantry Neagoe Basarab.

He is survived by numerous loving relatives, including his wife and mother. He had no children. 

Corporal Lixandru was promoted to sub lieutenant after his death.
