SSG David D. Self from Pearl, Mississippi, was killed in action on 16 May 2011 near Qalat, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations. He was killed by an insurgent.  |

He was assigned to the Brigade Troops Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Anchorage, Alaska.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David D. Self is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
