Jeremy P. Faulkner

Pvt. Jeremy P. Faulkner, age 23, of Griffin, Georgia, died on March 29, 2011, in a remote area of Kunar Province, Afghanistan, during an assault by insurgent troops.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  He joined the Army in January 2009 and arrived at Fort Campbell in June 2009.

His awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal; Parachutist Badge and Combat Infantryman Badge.

Jeremy is survived by his father John Faulkner of Rex, GA and mother, Julia Berry of Griffin, GA.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jeremy P. Faulkner is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
