Pfc. David R. Fahey, Jr., age 23, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was killed on Feb. 28, 2011, in Kandahar Province of Afghanistan, when his unit was hit by an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade at Lewis-McChord.

He deployed to Afghanistan with his unit in June 2010. He enlisted in August 2007 at Springfield, Mass., and reported to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., the next month. After training as a military policeman, he served briefly at Camp Walker, Korea, before reporting to Lewis-McChord in March 2009.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David R. Fahey Jr. is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
