Arturo E. Rodriguez

Pfc. Arturo Emmanuel Rodriguez, age 19, of Bellflower, Calif., died on March 12, 2011, after an attack in the Giyan District, Paktika province of Aghanistan.

He was an infantryman assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.

Arturo Rodriguez had been in the Army since February 2010 and arrived at Fort Campbell in July 2010.

His awards and decorations include a Bronze Star Medal, a Purple Heart Medal and a Parachutist Badge.

He is survived by his father, Arturo Rodriguez Segura, and mother, Rosa Jimenez Davila, both of Mexico. He is also survived by his aunt, Maria Lopez, of Bellflower, California.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Arturo Rodriguez is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
