Jordan B. Emrick

Staff Sgt. Jordan B. Emrick, age 26, of Hoyleton, about 60 miles southeast of St. Louis, was killed November 5, 2010, in Helmand province, Afghanistan, after he was hit by a roadside bomb.

Jordan Emrick joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2002 and was serving with a company from Camp Pendleton in California. He graduated from Nashville Community High School. For about three of his teen years, he did everything from milking cows to tending to the corn, soybean and wheat fields on the 3,000-acre Kasten family farm.  He is survived by his mother and father.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jordan Emrick is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
