Lance Cpl. James Stack, age 20, was killed in action during a firefight in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, on November 9, 2010.James Stack had been in Afghanistan for only about six weeks when he was killed.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, and a 1-year-old daughter, Mikayla, as well as his mother, Linda Stack, and father, Robert Stack.
His unit had been engaged in fierce combat almost since his arrival in Afghanistan in late September, but James Stack didn't offer many details in letters to family members because he didn't want them to worry.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that James Stack is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
