Korby Kennedy - Law Enforcement - Texas

Sergeant Korby Kennedy, age 45, died in the line of duty on June 25, 2015, at a hospital in San Angelo, Texas.

Sergeant Kennedy was a member of the San Angelo Police Department. He had almost 20 years of service.

At about 6:00 p.m., Korby was riding his motorcycle and escorting a convoy of racing boats, who were the participants in a parade, from one location to another. A SUV pulled out of a parking lot into Korby's path and his motorcycle struck the vehicle.

Korby was rushed to a local hospital where tragically he was pronounced deceased.

The circumstances of the accident are under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Korby had served as the president of the San Angelo Coalition of Police. He was a traffic investigator and often provided information to the media regarding traffic crashes in the city.

was a popular and well-respected officer. He had a sense of humor and a sharp wit. He was a no-nonsense type of man. He loved his wife and kids. He will be forever remembered.

Korby's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Korby is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and children.
