Daniel Groover - Firefighter - Houston, Texas

Firefighter/EMT Daniel Groover, age 46, died in the line of duty on July 9, 2014, at a hospital in Houston, Texas.

Daniel was a member of the Houston Fire Department. He worked out of Station 104. He had 21 years of service.

Daniel was called to a fire at a house in the Kingwood area. He was doing a search of the second floor when he collapsed and was quickly removed from the building by fellow firefighters. He was transported to a local hospital but sadly passed away from his injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances will be conducted.

The Houston Fire Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. He will be forever remembered.

Friends stated that he was an excellent paramedic who was intent on becoming a

firefighter.  He was passionate about his work.  
He is described as a great husband and dad and a strong man with a soft side.

Daniel's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Daniel is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and his three adult sons.

Thank you for your service to the public, Daniel.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray that Daniel is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
