Kevin Jordan - Law Enforcement - Georgia

Police Officer Kevin Jordan, age 43, died on May 31, 2014, in Griffin, Georgia.

Kevin was a member of the Griffin Police Department. He had 4 years of service. 

Kevin was not working for the Police Department on the night of May 31. He was working as a security guard at a waffle restaurant.

At about 2:30 a.m., three drunk jerks began creating a ruckus, fighting, shouting and using racial slurs. The jerks are Chantell Mixon, age 28; Michael Bowman, age 30, and Tyler Taylor, age 23.

Kevin escorted the woman outside but she began fighting with him. He placed the woman in handcuffs. Michael Bowman then shot Kevin in the back three times.

Officer Jordan's civilian brother, who had come to the location to speak with him, witnessed the shooting. The brother, who was armed, shot and wounded Michael Bowman, who was taken into custody.

Michael Bowman has been charged with murder.

Kevin had served in the U.S. Marines.

The Griffin Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. Kevin was very much respected by his comrades.  Kevin will be forever remembered.

Kevin's family are devastated over his tragic and senseless death. He will be forever mourned.

Kevin is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his seven children.

God save us from the Lost Ones who bring death to strangers.  God save us from the freaks.  They are killing us, Father. 

Pray that Kevin is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
