Adam Wolff - U.S. Military

Adam Wolff
Lance Cpl. Adam F. Wolff, age 25, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died on June 20, 2014, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

It has been reported that Adam was killed by the explosion of a roadside bomb.

He was assigned to the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Adam was originally from Ottumwa, Iowa. 

Former co-workers of Adam, before he enlisted, describe him as a wonderful young man. 

He enlisted in the Marine Corps in December of 2012 and was promoted to lance corporal in February of 2014. He deployed to Afghanistan in March of 2014.

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Adam's family members are devastated by his sudden and tragic death. He is their hero who died in the service of his country. He will be forever mourned.

Adam is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives including his mother.

Thank you for serving, Adam.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Adam.

Pray that Adam is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
