Shihab Mahmud - a store clerk killed in Wellington, Florida

Shihab Mahmud, age 22, of West Palm Beach, died on May 30, 2014, in Wellington, Florida.

Shihab was a clerk at a Chevron Station. It was only his second shift on this job.

Just after midnight, a robber entered the store wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants. He stole about $400 and shot Shihab dead.

Shihab is from Bangladesh and worked the night shift at the gas station while going to school full time at Palm Beach State College during the day.

Friends stated that Shihab came to America hoping to better himself.

Shihab's family are devastated by his death. He will be forever mourned.

Friends describe Shihab as popular and friendly and hard working. He is described as a great guy. He was driven and was focused. He had a positive outlook. He looked to the future. He wanted good things to happen in his life.

Shihab was a member of the Islamic faith. 

Oceans of tears will be shed for Shihab. 

Shihab is survived by many loving friends and relatives in America and in Bangladesh. 

Pray for justice for Shihab. 

Pray for all who go to work and who die there. 

God save us from the thieves.  They are killing us, Father. 

Pray that Shihab is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
