Yosef Tulu - Store Clerk murdered in Garland, Texas

Yosef Tulu, age 31, of Dallas, Texas, died on January 21, 2014, at a convenience store in Garland, Texas.

He was murdered during an armed robbery of the 7-Eleven Store, where he worked as a clerk.

At about 3:30 a.m., an armed man entered the store to rob it and shot Yosef Tulu numerous times, fatally injuring him.

Surveillance video shows Yosef complying with the demands of the robber. The killer left with a bag in his hand.

Yosef's body was found later that morning by a delivery driver.

Yosef was from Ethiopia and his bride to be and his family are there. He lived with two roommates in Garland and would regularly send money back to his family in Ethiopia.

Yosef was saving money for his wedding planned for the Spring of 2014. He also had dreams of entering the nursing profession.

Yosef began working for 7-Eleven in 2012 and joined the staff at the store in Garland in December of 2013.

Friends describe him as a happy person who was hard-working and well-liked. He was courteous and spoke kindly to his customers.

Family members describe him as an intelligent and quiet man.

Yosef is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his bride to be.
