Cliff Clarke - killed by a dog in Liverpool, England

Cliff Clarke

Cliff Clarke, age 79, died on May 25, 2013, in Liverpool, England.

He died in his own backyard, bitten to death by a dog.

Cliff was a retired hospital porter, living alone.

He had opened his kitchen door, as he was cooking a roast dinner, when a cross-breed bull mastiff belonging to a neighbour, attacked him.

Neighbours dialled 999 and one went to the aid of Cliff, using a golf club to keep dog at bay.

Family members describe Cliff as a very easy going man, who was helpful to others.

They are heartbroken over the death of this man in this way.

The dog that carried out the attack was destroyed at the scene by a police marksman who fired two shots. Two other dogs which were in the garden were impounded.

Two women, aged 27 and 28, who are the dogs owners, have been released on bail after being questioned under suspicion of manslaughter and offences under the Dangerous Dog Act.

God save us from people who value dogs more than human beings. Amen.

It is time in England for a real evaluation of dog ownership laws in that country.

Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country.

Taylor Moldvan - bullied to death in Ontario

Taylor Moldvan, age 17, died on May 23, 2013, at a hospital in Milton, Ontario.

Taylor died as a result of suicide.

She attended Craig Kielburger High School in Milton, Ontario.

It has been reported that Taylor was subjected to extreme bullying on the Internet and at her school.

Whatever issues Taylor was facing in her teen years, bullying didn't help.

Taylor is described as a sweet and loving girl.

Christopher Drake - U.S. Military

Spc. Christopher R. Drake, age 20, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, died on May 26, 2013, in Bagram, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when his vehicle was attacked by a rocket propelled grenade.

He was assigned to the 1084th Transportation Company, 165th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 139th Regional Support Group, Reserve, Louisiana.

Chris graduated from Independence High School in 2011, where he played football.

He joined the Louisiana Army National Guard in September of 2011 as a truck driver and completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  While deployed, he served as a gunner on a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle.

High School officials stated that Chris had a good nature and a desire to excel and to succeed.  He was a hard worker at being both an athlete and a student.

He had a happy demeanor and lifted the spirits of others.  He was a popular young man.

He had planned to go to college after returning from Afghanistan. 

Chris is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother; his fiancée and a 3-year-old son.

Erick Bridges - store clerk murdered in Tucson, Arizona

Erick Bridges, age 22, died on May 18, 2013, in Tuscon, Arizona.

On May 17, 2013, in the early morning hours, Erick was stabbed by an unknown assailant at the convenience store where Erick worked.

Erick was found by a customer at about 1:00 a.m. and he was taken to a local hospital. He passed away the following day.

It has been suggested that this murder may have been committed in retaliation against Erick who wouldn't let drug dealers pedal drugs in the store while he was on shift. This was not a robbery.

However, the motive for this crime is unknown as of this posting.

Jason Ellis - Law Enforcement - Kentucky

Officer Jason Ellis, age 33, died on May 25, 2013, on an exit ramp from the Bluegrass Parkway, outside of Bardstown, Kentucky. 

Jason was a member of the Bardstown Police Department.  He had 7 years of service. 

A citizen called 911 at 2:53 am to report that an officer had been fatally struck by a vehicle. 

A Kentucky State Police trooper responded to the scene and discovered that Officer Ellis had been shot. 

Officer Ellis was en route home at the time following his shift and was in uniform driving a marked vehicle. It is believed that he may have stopped behind another vehicle on the ramp, but did not radio dispatchers of the stop.

The subject who shot him remains at large.

Joan Canino Ryther - murdered in Brisbane, Australia

Joan Canino Ryther, age 27, died on May 21, 2013, on a street in Brisbane, Australia.

She had been sexually assaulted and severely beaten. Her body was partially clothed and dumped in a garden.

She was walking on her way to work at a local McDonald's restaurant. She was about 4 blocks from her home and a few hundred feet from work when the assault apparently occurred.

Joan was pregnant.

She came to Australia from the Philippines in 2009 and met her husband, Cory, in 2011. They married in 2012 in the Philippines. Friends describe them as madly in love.

Friends said that Joan was ecstatic to be pregnant.

Gabrielle Molina - bullied to death in Queens Village, New York City

Gabrielle Molina, age 12, died on May 22, 2013, at her home in Queens Village, Queens, New York City.

Gabrielle was called Gabby by her friends. 

Gabrielle left a note stating that she was suffering from harsh taunts and cyber-bullying on the Internet from her classmates at Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School 109 in Queens Village.

Family members stated that Gabrielle was depressed over the taunts.

She is described as very quiet, very friendly. She just wanted to dance, sing and have fun. 

Friends describe the Molina family as a wonderful family, who are greatly suffering from the death of their loved one.

It has been reported that Gabrielle had other issues such as self-cutting.  She had gotten into a fist fight with another girl that was videotaped and posted on YouTube.  She was taunted because she lost the fight. 

Classmates reported that she wanted to change to another school because she felt uncomfortable. She felt that people wanted to jump her.

Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School 109 was given only a “C” for its safety environment in the city’s 2012 progress reports. Seventy percent of students at this school said they didn’t feel safe there.

What kind of school is this where 70 percent of the kids don't feel safe?  And what is the City and School Board doing about it?

Lee Rigby - British Military

British soldier Lee Rigby, age 25, was murdered on May 22, 2013, in the street in Woolwich, south-east London, near the Woolwich Military Barracks.

Lee was a Drummer with the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He joined the Army in 2006 before being posted as a machine gunner in Cyprus. On his return to Britain in 2008 he played a central role in his battalion’s public duties, which included parading outside the Royal Palaces. In April of 2009, he was sent on a tour of Helmand province, Afghanistan, where he served as a member of the Fire Support Group based at Patrol Base Woqab.  He completed a second tour of public duties with the battalion in Celle, Germany, before returning to Britain in 2011 to take up a recruiting post.

He was known as "Riggers" to his comrades.

Two men - Michael Adebolajo, age 28, and Michael Adebowale, age 22, ran over Lee with their car and then got out of the vehicle and attacked him with knives and meat cleavers.

These men didn't know Lee. They were out to get a soldier and figured that if they were near the Woolwich Barracks they would find a soldier leaving or returning there. Lee had been off-duty at the time, and was wearing a Help For Heroes T-shirt.

One of these attackers was filmed by bystanders in which he stated that this murder was performed in retaliation for the murder of Muslims by the British military in Islamic countries.

Both of these attackers were shot by police. Their injuries are not life threatening. Another man and a woman, both aged 29, were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Family members are grief stricken, shocked and at a loss over the death of Lee.

Lee's ex-wife stated that she loves Lee and was proud to be his wife.

Family members stated that Lee had always dreamed of joining the military. He was a dedicated professional and loved his job. Lee is their hero, who will never be forgotten. 

Military comrades describe Lee as a true warrior who served with distinction in Afghanistan, Germany and Cyprus.  He was a talented parade drummer and army recruiter. 

The brutality and barbarism of this murder is hard to grasp.  If you are a political terrorist, you target a lone man walking on the street?  

Light a candle for Lee.  Light his
way to Heaven.

Iraq is at it again

After the U.S. military pulled out of Iraq and left the governance of Iraq to Iraqis, the country went to hell in a handbasket.

279 people were killed in Iraq in recent weeks and hundreds more were injured. This goes on week after week all over the country.

Under Saddam Hussein's tyranny, Iraq's Sunni minority held a privileged position, while the Shiites were largely oppressed. But since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion that toppled Saddam, those dynamics have been flipped.

Now Islamic Sunnis are not happy with the ruling Shiite government of Iraq. And the Shiites are not happy with the unhappy Sunnis. So...they are blowing each other up daily and throughout the country.

for their countrymen? 

For months, bombs of all sorts have gone off outside of mosques, at military checkpoints, in teahouses, at police stations, in parked cars on busy streets, at sheep markets and at bus stops.

In other words, those who are doing this bombing are not targeting political leaders or military leaders but are targeting the average man, woman or child innocently walking on the street. They want to kill their fellow citizens.

The violence has raised fears the country is sliding back to the brink of civil war.

In other words - They're at it again.

A total of 4,486 U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2012 in order to

stabilize this ***hole of a country. And hundreds of billions of dollars were expended that could have been used for positive purposes, like health care, disease research, food production and housing for people trying to live real lives.

God help us all. Jesus, Mary, all Saints and all Angels pray for us.

God save us from countries like Iraq. They wallow in blood because they want to and everyone else in the world wallows with them. Amen.

Geo Mounsef - a toddler killed on a restaurant patio in Edmonton, Canada

Geo Mounsef, age 2, died on May 19, 2013, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Geo, his 1 year old brother and his parents Sage Morin and George Mounsef went out for dinner to a local restaurant with an outdoor patio.

They were happy because Geo had finally mastered the use of the "potty", which is a happy day for any parent.

They were sitting at their table for 15 minutes when a driver crashed into the patio and pinned Geo to a wall, killing him.

Richard Suter, age 62, is charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm and refusing to give a breath sample. Police have said they believe Suter had been having an argument with his spouse when he got into his SUV parked in front of the patio at Ric's Grill. But instead of putting the vehicle into reverse, police believe he put it in drive, climbed over the curb, drove through the railing and pinned the toddler against the wall.

The family of Geo stated that Richard Suter stumbled out of his vehicle, too drunk to even stand. He was so out of it that he didn't even say he was sorry.

The family of Geo describe the toddler as a beautiful, intelligent, funny and charming son who was at the very beginning of what was supposed to be a great life. The loss to this family is unspeakable. They are wracked with grief over this terrible tragedy.

Christopher Lorek and Stephen Shaw - U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation

Two Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation died in the line of duty on May 17, 2013, off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Both agents were participating in a training exercise as part of the agency's Hostage Rescue Team, based out of Quantico, Virginia.

The agents were in the process of fast-roping from a helicopter onto a ship when the helicopter encountered difficulties. The agents tragically fell a significant distance and suffered fatal injuries.

Deceased are:

Special Agent Christopher Lorek, age 41.
Special Agent Stephen Shaw, age 40.

The F.B.I. is in mourning over the passing of two brave and courageous men.

Mark Carson - a victim of Homophobia in New York City

Mark Carson, age 32, died on May 18, 2013, in New York City.

Mark was gay and he was shot. His murder was a hate crime and was conducted by a stranger to him.

New York, the Big Apple, the "hip" center of the world still has an underground network of wingnuts who are into homophobia.

Elliot Morales, age 33, has been arrested in connection with this crime.

Elliot Morales approached Mark Carson and his friend on the street. He called out numerous smart assed comments such as "Look at you faggots." Mark and his friend tried to ignore Elliot Morales but he pursued them and made statements such as "Do you want to die right now?" He then shot Mark Carson in the face.

Mark was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital, but doctors were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at 1:40 AM.

We don't know if Elliot Morales is gay, but it has been documented by medical researchers for decades that most men who conduct gay murders are gay. They want to kill what they love because they are unhappy that they are themselves gay. They are the Lost Ones who float in a world of despair and rage because they refuse to accept their own identity. And it eats them up. 

And the innocents, walking on the street, suffer for the inability of these homophobes to come to grips with their sexuality.

Marcos Arenas - run over for his iPad - Las Vegas, Nevada

Marcos Arenas, age 15, died on May 16, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Two men, Jacob Dimont, age 18, and Michael Solid, age 21, were driving down a Las Vegas street when they spotted Marcos walking with an iPad.

These thieves decided that they wanted the iPad and Jacob Dimont jumped out of their vehicle and attempted to grab the device.

Marcos wouldn't let go. He had gotten the iPad just 2 months ago for his birthday. He treasured it.

After Dimont re-entered the vehicle and Solid sped away, Marcos was somehow dragged until he fell. The vehicle ran over Marcos. He passed away at the hospital later in the day.

Jacob Dimont and Michael Solid have been arrested and are charged with murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Solid has an arrest record of possession of a stolen vehicle, petty larceny, robbery and assault. Dimont does not have any prior adult arrests.

Thieves are continually looking on the streets for people holding Apple products in their hands, which they can resell. This is called "Apple picking".

The Apple Corporation should give money to the Arenas family to at least cover the funeral expenses. This boy died over holding onto an Apple product.  They could give $10,000. out of the $10 million they make every day.

Andrea Rebello - victim of a home invasion - New York State

Andrea Rebello, age 21, of Tarrytown, New York, died on May 17, 2013, at her home near Hofstra University, New York.

Dalton Smith, age 30, an armed intruder, broke into an off-campus sorority house in Uniondale. Andrea, her identical twin sister, Jessica, Shannon Thomas and John Kourtessis were inside.

This was a home invasion robbery. The students offered Smith computers, jewelry and other items from the house but Smith kept demanding more money. Dalton Smith let Shannon Thomas out of the house to go to an ATM to make a withdrawal and bring the money back to him. While she was out of the house, she called Police.

The Police arrived and a confrontation ensued around 2:30 a.m. Police entered the

house and saw Dalton Smith holding a loaded gun to Andrea's head. It has been alleged that Dalton Smith told a police officer "I'm going to kill her" and then pointed the gun at the officer. The officer fired 8 times. Seven shots hit Dalton Smith and one shot hit Andrea, killing her. 

This is particularly tragic because a Police Officer coming to the aid of Andrea and her sister and friends, ended up in a split second life and death situation.  And Andrea died from it.

Dalton Smith had a history of criminality going back to age 16. He was wanted for violating parole for a previous robbery. He had multiple convictions for theft and assault.

Andrea and her twin sister had attended Sleepy Hollow High School. Andrea was currently a public relations major at Hofstra University and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Friends describe her as fun-loving, a hard worker and a nice girl. She had a devotion to her family and a sense of purpose.

Tim Causey - Law Enforcement - South Carolina

Deputy Sheriff Tim Causey died on May 19, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Tim was a member of the Horry County Sheriff's Office. He had 2 years of service with the Sheriff's Office and 25 years of service in law enforcement.

On March 16, 2013, Tim and many first responders attended a fire at a condominium complex in the Windsor Green area of Carolina Forest, South Carolina.

The fire destroyed 26 different condominium buildings. Deputy Causey responded to assist with securing the scene the night of the fire and for several days following the fire. After becoming ill in the following days, he was diagnosed with smoke inhalation, acute respiratory failure and influenza. He was subsequently flown to the Medical University of South Carolina where he remained until he passed away.

The Sheriff's office is in mourning over the passing of Tim.

Bradley Harper - Firefighter - Arizona

Firefighter Brad Harper, age 23, died in the line of duty on May 18, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Brad was a member of the Phoenix Fire Department. He had two years of service.

He had just finished fighting a mulch fire in south Phoenix, when a fire truck and an ambulance tried to pass each other on a narrow road. Brad, who was taking off his gear at the time, was pinned between the two vehicles.

He was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Fire Department officials stated that the Department is in mourning.

He had married his wife only 6 months ago.

Daryl Raetz - Law Enforcement - Arizona

Police Officer Daryl Raetz, age 29, died in the line of duty on May 19, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Daryl was a member of the Phoenix Police Department. He had 6 years of service.

At approximately 3:30 am Officer Raetz and several other officers were was processing a drunk driving suspect on the side of a road when a passing SUV struck Officer Raetz. He was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where he died.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene and remains at large.

Cody Towse - U.S. Military

Pfc. Cody Towse, age 21, of Elk Ridge, Utah, died on May 14, 2013, in Sanjaray, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Cody was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Cody was treating an injured soldier when he was killed in a second explosion.

Cody graduated from Salem Hills High School in 2010. He enlisted in the Army in 2011.

Cody wanted to use his skills as a certified Emergency Medical Technician and became a Medic. He earned a combat medic ribbon a month ago for saving another soldier's life.

His family describe him as a hero who knew his duty and did it. He was proud to serve

Cody is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Jamie and Jim Towse; his brothers Will and Christian; and his sister, Callen.

Jeffrey Baker - U.S. Military

Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey C. Baker, age 29, of Hesperia, California, died on May 14, 2013, in Sanjaray, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 766th Ordnance Company, 63rd Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Vince Li - the Beheader - Manitoba, Canada

Tim McLean

On July 30, 2008, Tim McLean, a 22 year old Canadian man, was was stabbed, beheaded and cannibalized while riding a Greyhound Canada bus in Manitoba.

He was brutalized and killed by a fellow bus passenger, Vince Li. 

Vince Li was found to be not criminally responsible for the murder by reasons of insanity and was remanded to a high-security mental health facility in Manitoba. 

Vince Li is a schizophrenic and is under constant psychotropic medication for life.

that Vince Li should be given more and more freedom.  Why is this? 

Previously he was allowed to make escorted trips into Lockport and Winnipeg.  Now the local egghead psychiatrists have decided that Vince Li should have increased day passes, escorted, into Lockport, Winnipeg and nearby beaches.

His treatment team is of the opinion that his condition is stable and that it would be appropriate and safe for him to leave the locked ward. 

Li must take his prescribed medication and comply with all directions on these outings.

Big deal.  It is amazing that Manitoba, which is a have-not Province in Canada, has the funds to pay for "escorts" to lead Vince Li on outings and excursions. 

Manitoba will escort murderers on outings.  Do you escort penniless mothers to the foodbank? 

The federal government introduced Bill C-54, the Not Criminally Responsible Reform Act, in February of 2013 in response to a recommendation last spring that Vince Li be allowed to have escorted walks away from his secure hospital.

The bill would create a new category of high-risk offenders who can’t be considered for release until a court agrees to revoke the designation. They would not have a review of their status for three years, would not be given unescorted passes and would only get escorted passes under narrow circumstances.

The law would make public safety the main consideration in such cases and ensure victims would be notified when the offender is released. The law could also be applied retroactively.

Advocates against this Bill state that the bill further stigmatizes the mentally ill, incorrectly suggests the likelihood of reoffending is connected to the brutality of the crime and makes people unnecessarily afraid of those with mental illness.

Duh?  Unnecessarily afraid of the mentally ill?  Are you kidding us? 

We are afraid of untreated and undiagnosed schizophrenics because they can sit beside you on a bus or a bus stop and decide to cut the head off of a total stranger.  They can kill you and they don't even know you. 

Anyone, regardless of the circumstances, who cuts off the head of a stranger sitting beside him on a bus, who wallows in the blood, who eats the flesh of another, should never be allowed any freedom or any release from captivity. 

God save us from the smart ass, white bread psychiatrists who seek to find something redeeming in every murderer.  They are paid to come up with solutions and they do - the wrong solutions. 

Pray for Tim McLean, an innocent stranger sitting in a bus seat, who was murdered by Vince Li. 

Pray that Tim is in Heaven. Amen. 

Pray without ceasing unto God, that Vince Li will never be released from custody.  Amen. 

Albert Nejmeh - Firefighter - Tacoma, Washington

Firefighter Albert A. Nejmeh, age 59, died in the line of duty on May 14, 2013, in Tacoma, Washington.

Albert was a member of the Tacoma Fire Department. He was a member of the Technical Rescue Team. He had 12 years of service.

Albert was responding to an emergency medical incident. He apparently suffered a heart attack at the scene. His comrades provided life support and rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he died around noon.

Fire Department officials stated that he will be missed. Albert was well loved and well regarded by his colleagues. When he was hired at age 47, he was the oldest person ever to be hired by the Tacoma Fire Department.

Family members describe Al as an environmentalist, musician, world traveler, athlete, mountain climber and seaman. Al had his maritime Captain's license and had a long history with sloops and schooners.

Albert lived on Marrowstone Island in a house he designed and built himself. He was not married and had no children.

Al is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his sister, Gail Robinson; and his brothers, Greg and Brian Nejmeh.

Omid Abbasi - Iranian Firefighter

Firefighter Omid Abbasi died in the line of duty on May 14, 2013, in North Tehran, Iran.

Firefighters received a call informing of a fire on the top floor of an apartment building in the Bagheri neighborhood in Tehran at 2:18 p.m.

A young woman with her two children had been trapped inside an apartment. The woman managed to escape along with her son, but her 9-year-old daughter was hanging from a window and was on the brink of falling when she was saved by the firefighters.

Firefighter Omid Abbasi gave his oxygen mask to the 9-year-old girl. But he himself subsequently suffered brain death. He died of smoke inhalation.

Now, Omid's vital organs will be offered to patients in need of transplants.

Omid is survived by many loving friends, comrades and relatives.
