Scott Bolger - a victim of a hit and run driver in California

Scott Bolger, age 32, died on December 13, 2013, in Canyon Lake, California.

Scott and Karen and the twins
Scott was out at the bar with his brother-in-law. He was walking home at about 2:17 a.m., when he stepped off of the sidewalk and was struck by a passing vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Regardless of the circumstances of the accident, i.e. who caused it, you cannot flee the scene of an accident and leave the person you struck lying in the road. What type of person are you? Are you a man or woman who leaves a person lying injured on the road like a dog?

Scott was a military veteran and had served in the Army Reserves for eight years.

He was married for five years. He leaves behind his wife and two newborn twins.
Angels of God, pray for Scott
and for those who have lost
him

Family members describe Scott as a good person, loving and kind. He put others first. He was someone's son, someone's father, someone's husband.

His wife is devastated at the loss of her husband.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Deputy Rabago at the Perris Sheriff's Station at (951) 210-1000.

Scott is survived by many loving friends and family members, including his wife, Karen, and his twins, Isabel and Colt.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next.

Pray for justice for Scott.

God save us from the drunk and doped up drivers and the drivers who speed like a bat out of hell. They are killing us.

God save us from the drivers who strike us down and then flee like thieves in the night.  They have no honor.

Pray that Scott is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Pray for Karen who has lost her loved one. Amen.
