Jeff Bryant - Law Enforcement - Alabama

Investigator Jeff Bryant, age 51, died in the line of duty on December 20, 2013, on a roadway near Gaylesville, Alabama.

Jeff was a member of the Centre Police Department.

At about 3:00 p.m., Officer Bryant was returning from a meeting with an officer in a neighboring county. Charity Sloane Brewster, age 24, of Gaylesville, lost control of her vehicle and crossed the center line after over correcting. Her vehicle struck Investigator Bryan's patrol car head-on. Investigator Bryant, Charity Brewster and her two year old child, Scout Brewster, were killed. A second child was flown to a hospital in serious condition.

Jeff's family members and comrades are mourning his sudden passing.

Jeff was a Freemason and a member of the Baptist faith.

Jeff is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his mother, Veltie Bryant; brother, Stanley Bryant; sister, Cheril Grimmitt; his wife, Felicia Bryant; his daughters, Josie, Jessica and Allison; his son Steven; and his stepsons, Logan, John and James.

Thank you for your service to the public, Jeff.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Pray that Jeff is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Pray for Charity Sloane Brewster; her child, Scout; and for the child taken to the hospital.  Amen.
