Michael Pegg - Law Enforcment - Ontario

Constable Michael Pegg, age 36, died on November 29, 2013, at a hospital at an unnamed location in Ontario.

Michael was a member of the York Regional Police. He had 10 years of service.

He served as a Tactical Flight Officer in the Department's Air Support Unit.

Michael was attending a training exercise on November 12, 2013, at the Department's training facility in Vaughan, Ontario. He sustained a broken leg during the training. The circumstances of the accident have not been publicized.

He spent two and a half weeks in the hospital undergoing surgery and receiving

treatment, but succumbed to this injury. The cause of death has not been released as of this date.

The Police Department is in mourning over the death of their comrade and brother.

Friends stated that Michael was a quiet and a gentle person. The local community is deeply saddened by his death.

Michael is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members, who will forever miss him. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who linger and suffer.

Pray that Michael is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
