Scott Harrington - Dentist in Oklahoma exposing his patients to risk

A 30 year old photo of
Dr. Scott Harrington
Dr. W. Scott Harrington, age 64, has exposed his dental patients in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

This is due to filthy conditions at his office, unsanitary disinfection procedures and the hiring of staff who were not medically qualified to administer injections, IV's and other procedures.

He used rusty instruments, drug vials with expiration dates from 1993, reused needles and an autoclave for sterilizing instruments that hadn't been tested in six years.

He has been practicing dentistry for 36 years.

The investigation into this dentist's practice by Health Officials was triggered by the discovery of a person with no known risk factors for HIV or hepatitis C who tested positive for both viruses and had had a dental procedure performed at the likely time of exposure. That dental procedure was done at one of Harrington's dental offices.

Free testing will be done for HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C for all patients of Doctor Harrington, at the expense of the Oklahoma taxpayers.

Generally, we at this blog, don't like dentists.  They can be greedy S.O.B.'s.

If you have a dental plan, they recommend procedures that are often not necessary.  They want your money.

Saint Jude, pray that we
are saved from the
greedy dentists
The issue with Dr. Harrington is troubling because 7,000 people have to worry if they have HIV or Hepatitis C or some other debilitating disease, and so do their loved ones, who may also be infected.

How many people did this filthy dentist ultimately contaminate?  Were his staff blind to what was happening? Did they speak up?

All of this incompetence and lack of concern is the result of the quest for money.

What does it profit a man who gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Pray for the patients and the families of patients of Scott Harrington.  They will be troubled and worried for years over going to a routine visit to a dentist.  Amen.

AJ Blugerman - drowned in Don River, Ontario

AJ Blugerman, age 16, died on March 29, 2013, in the Don River, Toronto, Canada.

AJ was a passenger in an SUV which was going east on Lake Shore Boulevard when it hit the curb, crossed three oncoming lanes, crashed through the guardrail and plunged into the river.

The others in the car, two boys and two girls, managed to get out and had only minor injuries.

Toronto police and firefighters, who were on the scene within minutes, dove into the water with only T-shirts or their uniforms but couldn’t help. It took about 40 minutes for a fully-suited police dive team to get AJ out of the car. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Two firefighters were treated for hypothermia.

The driver of the SUV is 17 years old. It is not believed that alcohol or drugs are a component of this tragic accident.

AJ was a Grade 11 student at Bayview Glen School. He had previously attended the all-boys St. Michael’s College School, where he played hockey.

School officials describe AJ as outgoing, with a contagious sense of humour.

Friends describe him as everyone's best friend.
Angels of God, pray for AJ

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Pray for this boy who died tragically. Amen.

Veselin Vlahovic - Serb Military Murderer and his war crimes

A Montenegrin Serb named Veselin Vlahovic, age 43, has been convicted in March of 2013, of multiple counts of murder, torture, rape and looting during Bosnia's 1992-95 war.

Barbarism Alert - Veselin
Vlahovic convicted of
war crimes
A Bosnian court has sentenced him to 45 years in prison, which is the highest sentence ever issued in the country.

In 1992, when Bosnian Serb forces laid siege to Sarajevo, Vlahovic was the commander of a paramilitary unit that went from house to house looking for Muslims and Catholics, then looted their homes, tortured and often killed entire families.

Veselin Vlahovic killed 31 people, raped a number of Bosnian and Croatian women and tortured and robbed non-Serb residents of a Sarajevo suburb while fighting for the Bosnian Serbs.

Veselin Vlahovic cut the throats of two brothers in front of their mother, then killed her and raped the men's wives.

He took one man to a house and ordered him to have sex with the body of a woman whose throat had been cut.

112 witnesses at the trial described the rape of women late in their pregnancies and mothers being raped in front of their children.

This man's lawyers plan to appeal because they believe that some of the charges that he was convicted of were not proven.

Vlahovic and his gang entered people's homes demanding money and gold to spare
Veselin Vlahovic
the residents from harm and after they received the loot, they still raped, beat and tortured the residents.

Veselin Vlahovic was unemotional and seemingly bored during the trial and his sentencing. This is because he is a psychopath and a swine.

Pray for the victims of Veselin Vlahovic. Pray that they are at peace and are with God in Heaven. Amen.

God save us from the monsters who ravage the Earth, destroying others. Amen.

Josh Humphrey - a Good Samaritan from Derbyshire, England

Josh Humphrey, age 20, of Matlock, Derbyshire, England, came to the aid of a stranger on March 24, 2013.

The Good Samaritan
comes to the aid of
others, selflessly.
Josh was waiting for a bus at Bakewell bus station when an elderly commuter asked him if the buses were running as he'd been waiting a long time.

After waiting for around another two hours without a bus turning up, Josh saw that the elderly man was shivering.

Josh said: "It was horrible to see – he must have been in his mid-seventies. I told him that I'd ring a taxi for both of us, but he said he only had enough money for the bus – I said, 'don't worry about that'."

When the taxi arrived, the pair got in and Josh asked the driver to take the man – who told Josh his name was Norman – back to his home in Darley Dale.

Josh said his new friend's spirits were visibly lifted when the taxi turned up: "He was really happy – it was such a great feeling. When we got to his house I got out to say goodbye and he just hugged me – I felt like crying!"

Josh Humphrey and Norman, the man he helped
The bus company had cancelled the bus that Josh and Norman were waiting for because of snow conditions. If they had stayed at the bus stop they would have stayed there forever, freezing.

The lengthy taxi trip cost Josh 25 British Pounds.

Josh's parents must be proud of him.  We would be.

God bless Josh Humphrey and all those like him who come to the aid of strangers. They are the Good Samaritans.

Chris Knafelc - Good Samaritan in Philadelphia

The Good Samaritan comes
to the aid of others selflessly.
A 63 year old man fell off the subway platform landing close to the high voltage tracks of the subway. The reason for his fall is not known at this time.

Chris Knafelc was waiting for the train, saw what happened, ran over and jumped down on the tracks to help, while others stood by in shock.

Chris knew that the next train would come barreling down the tracks any minute. He yelled to other passengers to tell subway workers to stop it.

With the trains stopped, Chris Knafelc stayed on the tracks with the man until firefighters arrived 11 minutes later to help move him. Chris was able to keep the man's head and neck straight until medical help arrived.

Chris stated: "There have been people there for me when I needed somebody. And, these people I can't pay back, so the next best thing would be to pay it forward."

The man who fell is going to recover. He is in stable condition.
Chris Knafelc

City officials describe Chris as a hero of Philadelphia.

Chris was returning by subway from a visit to Temple University when the incident happened. Chris says he plans to go back to school in the future.
